How Google Search Works 📙  🔍 (in 5 minutes):  A short video about how Google Search works, including how Google’s software indexes the web, ranks sites, flags spam, and serves up results.

1. Rankings are based on keywords, links, location, etc.
When you search, Google algorithms analyze the meaning of the words you search, locating all potentially relevant results in its index, filtering out scam/irrelevant results, & ranks them based on 100s of factors (keywords, links, location, etc.)
👉 So it matches the words you search to the content on the web, understands what content is most likely to be helpful & reliable, & puts it all together in a neatly organized page!

2. Google is always making updates to Search.

Google uses the search quality evaluator guidelines to make sure search results are “good” (AKA relevant & reliable).

👉 Remember, responses are used to evaluate changes, NOT directly impacting how search results are ranked.
